👍 Pros & 👎 Limitations

Pros:

1. Good megapixel count for the price; the 24.1MP sensor gives you plenty of details.
2. Kit lens 18-55mm IS II gives a useful starting range for general shots (landscape, portrait).
3. Wi-Fi + NFC make it easy to transfer photos to phone / share.
4. Built-in flash, optical viewfinder, full control in manual and semi-auto modes — good for learning and hobby photography.
5. Affordable entry into Canon’s EF/EF-S lens ecosystem.

Limitations:

1. Autofocus is basic (only 9 points, mostly not very advanced); slower and less accurate compared to more modern AF systems.
2. Video is limited to 1080p @ 30 fps — no 4K, which may be a drawback if you want higher-end video.
3. LCD is fixed (non-vari angle), so framing at difficult angles (selfie, low/high vantage points) is less convenient.
4. Kit lens isn’t very fast (aperture isn’t very wide), so low-light performance is limited. You’ll see noise at higher ISO.
5. Battery life is decent but not exceptional; predictably less when doing lots of live view or video.
